‘Oh, look, sheep!’ and off she goes. Stepping through dead wood and high grass. With an excited look on her face she asks me to take some pictures of her with the sheep in the background. Adventure and excitement, two ingredients I love for all my pictures. And this example proves yet again that there is no age limit for ‘adventure loveshoots’.
Together with her husband, we went for a nice walk in the Dutch National Park called ‘Dwingelderveld’. This is one of my favorite locations in my country: silence, many posibilities to avoid crossing other people while taking pictures, the colors of the grasses and (pine) trees. J & L tell me that the only other time they did a photoshoot together was when they got married. And those were the old fashioned portraits in front of their house, 25 years ago. This whole situation in which a photographer followed them on their walk in nature was new to them. Even though this was all new, they were such great models. They laughed, they hugged and walked hand in hand on the endless forest trails.
This is the response I got when I sent them a preview:
“Oh Paulien, this is already so great. You made us behave in such relaxed and normal (haha) ways. We will have good memories on this day with you”. Ain’t that cute?
